Dear Imagine Families,
We are writing to update you regarding the cancellation of all classes and school-related activities at Imagine Great Western Academy. As you may already be aware, our closure remains in place now through the end of our school year in accordance with Governor DeWine’s state-wide order.
At this time, you should have already received and completed most of the work that was sent home or mailed for the first round of distance learning. Thank you to those of you who have already returned completed work or sent pictures to your teacher. If you have not already done so, you may return completed work in our drop box outside of the school at any time. Students are required to complete as much of the work provided as possible. This work does count for academic credit for the fourth quarter of instruction.
The next scheduled time for picking up student work is listed below. We highly encourage families to make arrangements to come pick up student work during these designated days and times.

  • Thursday April 30th- 9:00-1:00 is for students with the last names A-M- ONLY
  • Friday May 1st- 9:00-1:00 is for students with the last names N-Z- ONLY

We request that all families help us follow health and safety guidelines throughout this process. We must follow social distancing protocols and limit our direct contact with each other. Families are asked to stay in their vehicles and remain in the designated areas for work pick-up. We will not be accepting student work from families who come to pick up new assignments. For safety reasons, we ask that you find another time to turn in completed work in the drop box.
If you are unable to come during your scheduled pick up time, assignments can also be found on our webpage. Lastly, if you ordered spring pictures we will have those ready to pick up during these times as well.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us during this transition. Please be assured that the health and safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. We miss you all terribly and are looking forward to when we can be together again.
Sincerely,
Imagine Great Western Academy

MEAL SERVICES
During the extended cancelling of classes (through Friday, April 3), Columbus City Schools will offer meals for ALL children age 18 and under, Monday through Friday.
The meals will be “grab and go” style, and kids will also be able to pick up lunch at breakfast, or pick up the next day’s breakfast at lunch. Also, per federal regulations, children 18 and under must be in attendance in order to pick up food. We are working with elected officials in an attempt to modify this, and we will update our website and social feeds if this does change. Please see the Map for open meal locations. MAP CLICK HERE

FREE INTERNET ACCESS
Community partners are offering free internet access to families, for a limited time. The information below is based on news reports from the companies:
Spectrum/Charter Communications: Families without internet will be able to get the service at no cost for 60 days from Charter Communications/Spectrum. Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps. The service won’t be free after 60 days. Customers will have to notify the company to cancel the service to avoid regular pricing. To enroll, call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.
Comcast/Xfinity: New customers will receive 60 days of complimentary Internet Essentials service, which is normally available to all qualified low-income households for $9.95/month. Additionally, for all new and existing Internet Essentials customers, the speed of the program’s Internet service was increased to 25 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream. That increase will go into effect for no additional fee and it will become the new base speed for the program going forward. The company also shared that it will not disconnect a customer’s internet service or assess late fees if they contact the company that they can’t pay their bills during this period. To sign up, applicants can visit http://www.internetessentials.com or call 855-846-8376 for English and 855-765-6995 for Spanish.
